Hello Saar! As a huge fan of your work with artistic PCBs and someone with a similar practice, your latest post resonates with me. I would only add that we cannot allow the greedy and tone-deaf technocrats to control technology — so stay strong and stay involved because humanity needs you. But believe me, I understand (and share) the burn out and the disappointment.
Hi Kelly. Thanks for the kind words, and keep doing what you're doing! :) I have lots to do that isn't at all related to that kind of technology (it involves chainsaws, garden implements, hand tools, ropes, tractors, chippers, etc.) and I'm quite content with that. It would be nice, though, to also be content with my profession, and use of my experience, that also came with income ;). Take care.
Didn’t realize you did artistic PCBs… though probably that is how I found you, and I suspect I have at least seen your work, maybe even featured it. Maybe a summary post on that would be interesting.
I cannot advise you on income, but I do know that merging art, culture, and electronics is a perfectly sane and appropriate response to the time in which we live. The fact that others cannot appreciate and reward that skill is strange to me, but then again so is much of what happens in our world today. Here’s to the persistence of truth and the restoration of common sense combined with high art. Be well ✨
